Who wants diamonds? Bloody ones.

Monday 6 October 2014

Diamonds. Beautiful jewellery, and one of the most precious gems on earth, to humans. It is wealth, in the form of tiny stones. Unbelievable, right? What would you do if you have one in your hands? If you are rich enough, would you buy it?

My answer would be no. Here's why.

Indeed, diamonds are a symbol of wealth. Anyone who have it would be considered wealthy. But wealth is a two-edged sword, isn't it? It brings prosperity, but in the other side, it spills blood. Without wealth, there will be no war.

In the case of diamonds, it seems like it's mostly blood. Diamonds have been a source of conflict, and a fuel to it because it's deemed so precious.

Watch the full documentary here. Warning, it's right in the kokoro.

Would like to see the documentary, but do not wish to see any blood.
Possible? No?

I tell ya, 10 seconds of "break-the-bones strategy" intrigued me so it gave me nightmares.
I can stand it; but...

Nah, there is no blood here in this one. Not in the early minutes.
